re-open until we move down to Alert Level 2.

We will update you as the situation develops and when more information comes to hand. We encourage all members to stay safe over this time and we hope to be able to welcome you back to the Squadron very soon.
Learn to Sail for FREE in Lockdown
Have you been thinking about learning to sail but don't usually have the time? The RNZYS is excited to announce that we will be offering a FREE online Level 1 Learn to Sail Course during this lockdown. This will consist of three 90 minute webinars starting at 7pm on 14th, 16th and 21st September. The course will cover all the theory for the Yachting NZ Introduction to Keelboats Course.

There will be an option for attendees to spend a day on the water once Auckland is at Alert Level 2 for a reduced price of just $250 to achieve the Yachting NZ qualification. For more information about the Learn to Sail course - check out our Training at RNZYS website HERE

Richard Woodyear-Smith
RNZYS Life Member Mr Richard Woodyear-Smith #2987 has sadly passed away. Richard joined the club in March 1955 making him one of the Squadron’s longer serving members with 66.5 years of service recorded. Richard was recognised as a Life Member during 1999, acknowledging his work, passion and dedication to the Club and Race Management throughout many decades. Our sincere condolences to Richard’s family, may he rest in peace.

Bean Race is set to be held on Sunday 19th December and entries will open on Friday 17th September at 5pm.
